The film “Not Here” recounts the life of Slawomir Worotynski, a forgotten Polish poet, who was born in Vilnius during WWII and died a tragic death in 1983 in Bielsko Biala, Poland. In a symbolic way, the fortunes of Worotynski reflect the history of Poles in Lithuania. Without leaving their centuries-old family homes, before the war they had Polish citizenship, after the war Soviet and now Lithuanian, and today they continue to speak three languages in their daily life.
